Prediction markets and prediction betting are currently hot topics in Spain. The Spanish regulator, the DGOJ, has recently blocked offshore prediction markets Polymarket and Kalshi from operating in the country.

However, whether prediction betting can legally be organized under existing licenses is a considerably more complicated question.
