Sports betting and online gaming operators in São Paulo are set to establish the Union of Sports Betting and Online Gaming Operators of the State of São Paulo (SINDIBETS/SP). The founding general assembly will take place on 31 July 2025, marking a major milestone for the region’s burgeoning regulated gaming sector.
SINDIBETS/SP aims to serve as the formal voice of operators in the state, enabling coordinated engagement with regulators, policymakers, and public authorities. The association will drive unified positions on licensing, advertising, taxation, compliance, market development, and consumer protection—key topics amid Brazil’s evolving national and state-level gaming frameworks.
The hybrid-format inaugural meeting—open to operators with documented activity in São Paulo—will:
Officially launch SINDIBETS/SP, approve its bylaws and define its territorial scope and elect the first executive board and fiscal council.
Set the union’s provisional headquarters and funding mechanisms, begin legal registration with the Civil Registry and Ministry of Labor. Interested companies must produce standard corporate documentation to participate, ensuring membership comprises legitimate industry stakeholders.
With new regulations expanding legal sports betting and online gaming in Brazil, operators face increasingly complex licensing and compliance regimes. The union provides a collective platform for dialogue, policy influence, and self-regulation—all crucial as the sector solidifies its role in the economy. It follows similar moves among national associations and reflects growing industry professionalism.
Establishing SINDIBETS/SP sends a clear signal: São Paulo’s betting operators are ready to engage constructively, safeguard market integrity, and promote responsible growth.
