SOFTSWISS has expanded its footprint in South Africa through a new partnership with PantherBet, a locally licensed operator powered by the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook and Casino Platform. The launch underlines SOFTSWISS’ continued focus on regulated African markets and reflects growing confidence in South Africa’s rapidly expanding gambling sector.
PantherBet launched in September with the ambition of becoming a premium online betting and casino destination in South Africa. The timing aligns with strong market momentum, following confirmation from the National Gambling Board that gambling turnover reached €75.47 billion during the 2024–25 financial year, a significant increase year-on-year.
The operator’s strategy centres on intuitive design, responsible gaming principles and long-term player trust. By selecting SOFTSWISS as its technology partner, PantherBet gains access to infrastructure already proven across regulated markets in Europe, Latin America and Africa.
The partnership sees PantherBet fully integrated with the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook and Casino Platform, enabling the brand to scale while meeting local regulatory expectations. SOFTSWISS’ modular ecosystem allows operators to launch quickly while maintaining flexibility around product development, compliance and performance optimisation.
SOFTSWISS views South Africa as a strategically important jurisdiction, given its scale, regulatory maturity and rising demand for licensed online betting products.
Both companies emphasised alignment around responsible gaming and sustainable growth. SOFTSWISS highlighted PantherBet’s clear market vision and commitment to local relevance, while PantherBet pointed to SOFTSWISS’ global reputation and compliance expertise as key factors behind the partnership.
The collaboration reflects a broader trend in South Africa, where operators increasingly seek experienced technology partners to compete in a regulated, high-volume environment.
Beyond platform delivery, SOFTSWISS continues to support the South African market through research and strategic insight. The supplier regularly publishes regional market reports and forward-looking analysis, offering guidance to operators navigating regulatory, commercial and technological change.
With PantherBet now live and backed by established infrastructure, the partnership is positioned to contribute to the next phase of South Africa’s regulated iGaming growth.
